“It’s power applied to the wrong axle.” - The something that should be said about FWD.

There isn’t a FWD you like at all?

I was jesting :)
There are a couple FWDs that I would love to have. Particularly old school rally stuff or Peugeot 205 GTIs.

Yeah I been loving old school rally footage coming through my FB feed. The sounds, the environments, was something else.

My favorite FWD car is the Golf R, which has an added trick of occasionally sending some power to the rear, too :)
Honestly it works fine in the GTI, Mini Cooper, and mostly any smaller, shorter wheelbase car.
I hate it in larger vehicles, though -- minivans, large crossovers, etc. I’ve heard it’s ok in the Mazda CX-9 but can’t personally confirm.

The added trick, I like that.

Eh, my last 2 GTI purchases I drove them back to back with the R and both times still bought the GTI. If they were the same price, I might get t
he
R, but even then, maybe not. The R feels boring and heavy, like an Audi. The GTI feels light and playful. Plus the R doesn’t get a sunroof,
has less tech
and
has a much uglier front end (at least in the current mk7.5 gen). All for the bonus of 10-15k more money. No thanks.
What do I need AWD for anyway? My
GTIs
with snows have gotten me through everything that Northern New En
gland has thrown at me for 4 years, including commuting to Boston in blizzards, and up to the mountains for skiing. The car is already fast, it’s not a race car (neither is a Golf R).

This is a cool feature, though I never use it since I always have it on CarPlay. Ah well
